Question time!

Once you have started the process of looking for a hair and makeup artist you will probably find yourselves asking questions you have never thought of before! I have put together some of the most common...but please do feel to contact me should you need any further help or advice.

Do I need a trial?
Whilst a bridal hair and makeup trial is not essential I do advise one. A trial allows you to explore different looks and ideas and settle on your perfect one before the big day.  It also saves a lot of time and or any surprises on your wedding day.

How long does a trial last?
I don't put a set time on trials and am happy to try several styles should you need to to find your perfect bridal hairstyle. As a rough idea a hair or makeup only trial is usually 1 - 2 hours per person and a hair and makeup trial is between 2 and 4 hours.

What happens at a trial?
Before your trial I will ask you to share with me any inspirational images you have been saving.  This helps me to get an idea of your style and works as a great starting point. We then take into consideration your dress, venue, theme, time of year and your hair/skin type to come up with the perfect bridal look for you.  I take lots of pictures and then send these to you after the trial ends.

Do I need to bring hair accessories to my trial?
If you have already purchased these then yes please do bring them along. If you haven't already then don't panic as I would usually advise a trial first, that way you can purchase a hair accessory that complements the chosen hair style best.  If you have a veil and would like to see it how it will work on the day then please do bring that along too!

I stock a range of hair accessories that you can try at your trial.

Can I try more than one look at my trial?
Yes! If you are undecided on what you would like then thats what a trial is for so I am happy to try different styles to help you make your mind up.   Many half up styles can be changed into up styles so this can rule out up or down quite quickly.  We can then make tweaks to the chosen style until you are happy.

When should I wash my hair before a trial or my wedding day?
Where possible I recommend my clients to wash their hair the night before both their trial and wedding day, this can sometimes make the hair easier to work with.

Where are trials held and can I bring someone along?
I hold trials at my home in Hornchurch and yes you are more than welcome to bring along mums/bridesmaids etc If required I can travel to you for the trial although milage charges will apply after 10 miles.

I have a large wedding party will you be able to do us all?
Depending on the time of your wedding and size of your group should I need additional help then I have a number of excellent hair and makeup artists I work alongside or the option for an assistant to come along on the day.  We can discuss all of this at your trial and I will produce a time plan for the wedding morning so that everyone has an allocated time slot and the morning runs smoothly and stress free!

Will you fit my veil on the wedding day?
100% I will stay until right up until you have put your dress on and ready for your veil and finishing touches.

When do I pay?
I require a £50 deposit to secure your wedding date in my diary ahead of your trial and then 20% of the final cost after your trial, the remainder to be paid on the day.

Take a look at my Trial Tips page for more information.
